My husband and I live in a small town near the Mexican border in southeast Arizona surrounded by mountains.

My passions include exploring the outdoors, cooking, photography, and contemplating this crazy thing we call life. These themes show up in my writing, so if they also interest you, I invite you to check out my blog.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and teach literature and creative writing at the University of Arizona and Cochise College and host Open Mic Night at Urbano Bar and Bistro in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Over the years I have worked as a ranch hand, bartender, waitress, restauranteur, and dog trainer. I’m guilty of hoarding chocolate, talking to my pets, and sometimes indulging in that second glass of wine.
